Eastport Yacht Club - Boomerang - Distance Race Bonus Points

There will be the traditional post-race bloodies and a Grump's breakfast at Eastport Yacht Club on the morning of the 15th, and then trophies will be awarded in the afternoon at a family-friendly party which will include free lunch for racers (only minimal cost to family and friends) courtesy of the Annapolis Smokehouse & Tavern.

Race to Baltimore

Baltimore City Yacht Association/Magothy River Sailing Association 

Race to Baltimore

Truly a "Race to Baltimore", an anticipated 60 sailboats in as many as nine classes will rendezvous at the mouth of the Magothy River at Baltimore Light on Saturday, July 15th. The race will proceed north on the Chesapeake Bay and up the Patapsco River, ending in Baltimore Harbor. The finish line will be off the dock at the Anchorage Marina.

Annapolis Labor Day Regatta

The Annapolis Labor Day Regatta (ALDR) expects a large turnout of J/22s with their World Championship the following week, September 9-14.

This event is open to PHRF, CHESSS, J/22, J/80, J/30, J/35, J/105, V-Boat, Cal 25, and ALDR Cruising class boats. CHESSS and ALDR Cruising will compete only on Saturday, September 2; PHRF, Cal 25, CHESSS and ALDR entries will sail a pursuit race on Saturday, while the one-designs will sail multiple drop-mark races; on Sunday, all classes will sail multiple drop-mark races.

Hospice Cup

Hospice Cup XXXVII takes place on Saturday, September 15, 2018. Race registration is being handled through Chesapeake Sailing Club.

Registration opens April 2018.

Fee: $55
Non-Members: $60

Registered sailors and their crew can purchase discounted Shore Party tickets by using the code “sailor” when ordering tickets.

If you are not a CBYRA racer you can race in the Hospice Class, a non-spinnaker race intended for cruisers, those new to racing, and skippers who are interested in taking hospice caregivers as crew.

Leukemia Cup

Leukemia Cup XXVI - 

Two feeder races added this year.

The 2018 Leukemia Cup event weekend is June 1-2, 2018. The 7th Annual Summer Gala will take place on June 1st at the Annapolis Yacht Club followed by the Regatta and Rock the Dock party June 2nd at the Eastport Yacht Club. Registration for the Leukemia Cup begins in March.

A large number of spectator boats follow the racers around government and drop marks in the Bay then head back into Spa Creek to watch the finish in front of the Clubhouse. The finish draws a large spectator crowd both inside the Club and on the nearby Spa Creek drawbridge as well as various points of land within Annapolis Harbor.
